On Friday, July 3, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce said "I do" at Madison Square Garden in New York City, in front of approximately a thousand select guests. The ceremony was highly private—smartphones were banned, and singles were not allowed to "+1"—performed on the indoor stage by actor Adam Sandler, with Austin Swift as "Man of Honor" and Jason Kelce as best man. In celebration, even the Empire State Building was lit up in blue.

But for fashion lovers, the real news is something else: the newlyweds wore Christian Dior Couture, specially designed by Jonathan Anderson. She is the first celebrity bride of Anderson's time as creative director of Dior—a historic first, achieved just a few days after his Paris couture show.

The bride and groom's looks were created in the ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, in close collaboration with the couple. According to sources close to the fashion house, Taylor's gown draws inspiration from Old Hollywood: sculptural lines, a long, dramatic veil, pearls, and subtle jewelry. No official images of the gown have yet been released—a measure of secrecy that fuels anticipation (and media coverage) for the first photo.

Completing the look: custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. Travis Kelce also chose Dior, in a coordinated look for the couple, styled by Anderson himself.

The audience: pop royalty in full force
