Two women, two geographical contexts, and a shared vision of “making” as a cultural act, a form of memory, and a means of transmission.

The Çemberlitaş collection, a new Designer Series born from the collaboration between Jaagravii and Benedetta Bruzziches, takes its name from the column that has stood in the heart of Istanbul for nearly 1,700 years, along the street connecting Sultanahmet Square to the Grand Bazaar. A symbol of resilience, continuity, and the meeting of worlds.
It was right among the stalls of the Grand Bazaar that Naz Sirmen founded Jaagravii, transforming paintings, drawings, and mixed-media experiments into handmade jewelry crafted from brass and silver.
In Tuscia, Benedetta Bruzziches pursues a similar mission: transforming the craft of the hands into a living tradition, to be preserved and passed on through her collections, the Bottega di Viterbo, and the School of Contemporary Crafts.
When Benedetta met Naz, she recognized the same root in her work: the conviction that certain skills, if they cease to be practiced, risk disappearing.
From this affinity springs Çemberlitaş, a collection that weaves together Istanbul and Tuscia, jewelry and handbags, precious materials and artisanal craftsmanship.
Just as in anastomosis—the botanical phenomenon in which different roots join together and exchange sap—the visions of Jaagravii and Benedetta Bruzziches come together without losing their individual identities, giving rise to new and more powerful creations.
